the son of Portuguese immigrants, born and raised in Oregon with a blue collar upbringing that he filled with energy and laughter. 

He started pursuing acting in high school and was given a scholarship to attend the University of Portland where he received a B.A. in Theatre followed by a move to New York to receive an M.F.A. at the Actor's Studio Drama School.

After working in regional theatre for a couple of years, David made the move to Los Angeles for a short stint before landing a spot as a resident acting company member at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. He was brought back to his Oregon roots where he remained a company member for 5 years, becoming an avid golfer and the caretaker of 2 dogs. 

As opportunities arose, the pull back to Los Angeles was too great and living in Silver Lake reminded him of his college years in Portland with its hipster vibes. In just a few short years David has booked roles on television shows such as Superstore, Criminal Minds, Castle,  Days of Our Lives, Scorpion, CSI:Cyber, Angie Tribeca, Angel From Hell and the cult classic Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark. He has recently started self producing, writing and creating projects with his collaborator and wife Sarah Beth Comfort. 

David also is a stellar stand-up comedian having performed up and down the west coast, including being chosen as a finalist for the Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank 2019. David’s natural stand-up performance style also serves as a gift for hosting for events/fundraisers and parties.

A faculty member at the Lee Strasberg Institute, David teaches TV/Film acting to the next generation of actors. When not performing, David works as a dog trainer to help people build better relationships with their dogs and as an advocate for shelter and rescue dogs.
